Our philanthropic programs are designed to invest directly in underrepresented businesses, community leaders and the neighborhoods they serve. These programs are in development.
Transparency note: we do not yet have funded grants, active scholarship recipients or completed programs to report. We are building this infrastructure openly and will update this page as programs launch.
Programs in development
- Community Business Fund. Direct grants to community-connected small businesses facing barriers to growth, with a focus on underrepresented founders.
- Scholarship Program. Educational scholarships for young people from communities served by member businesses.
- Mentorship Network. Connecting established business owners with emerging entrepreneurs through structured mentorship and peer learning.
- Amplification Initiative. Marketing and visibility support for directory-listed businesses that lack resources for promotion.
What happens before a program opens
- Listen: define a community need with prospective participants.
- Design: publish the scope, eligibility, selection criteria and responsible operator.
- Prepare: confirm resources, delivery capacity, participant protections and any required funding.
- Launch and report: announce an application window and report verified results.
Expressions of interest are not applications, awards or guarantees of support. Plans are not counted as impact.
How to support the Foundation
The most impactful thing you can do right now is participate: add your business to the directory, join with your Boston Made account, and invite others to do the same. You can offer time, expertise or a potential partnership through our contact page.
